HORIZONTAL FENCE FROM FDS
Horizontal fence has become a popular alternative to traditional fencing. To meet the growing demand, we have developed a proprietary frame that integrates with the Trex fence system. Our Horizons fence system is composed of patented frames that support the body of the horizontal fence by attaching to and holding in place the distinct interlocking picket system from Trex. Just like Seclusions and Trex Soltudes, a Trex w/Horizons horizontal fence has the same look on both sides and provides full privacy. Horizons was developed with durability in mind. The Horizons frame system utilizes galvanized, powder-coated steel to ensure longevity and support for the Trex fencing components.
Virtues of Trex® w/Horizons Fence System
Won't become food for termites.
Won't rot, warp, or splinter.
Won't need seasonal painting, sealing, or staining.
Stunning contemporary design
THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
(Wood + Plastic = Composite)
Since 1996, Trex has invented, defined, and perfected composite outdoor living materials with a lineup of low-maintenance, high-performance products that fundamentally change the way we live outdoors. Trex Fencing was introduced in 2005 to meet the demand for a fence that had the natural beauty and strength of a wood fence and the low maintenance virtues of a vinyl or PVC fence. Trex Fencing is a composite fence made from a proprietary blend of 95% recycled wood fiber and plastic. This unique product eliminates the negative attributes of wood or vinyl fences and capitalizes on their virtues. With Trex composite fencing, you can be at ease knowing that our well established brand, backed by its 25-year residential limited warranty*, can be trusted to meet the demands for a fence that will last and continue to look attractive for many years.
What Makes Trex Composite Wood Fencing Better?
Trex composite wood fencing is made from a composite of recycled sawdust and plastics to form a strong, durable, beautiful fence. It’s better than wood because it lasts many years longer and requires almost no maintenance. Wood fences need to be painted or stained regularly to protect them from the elements, but not so with Trex fencing. Wood is also vulnerable to rot and insect infestation, but these aren’t concerned with composite wood.
Trex fencing is also better than vinyl because it’s stronger and is more attractive. Vinyl is plastic, but it’s hard to tell the difference between Trex fencing and real wood. Additionally, Trex is thicker than vinyl and tests have shown it can resist sustained, hurricane-force winds of 100 mph and gusts up to 116 mph. Vinyl cannot hold up to winds this strong, and can even be damaged by a threat as mundane as a rock flying from a lawnmower.
Composite Wood Fencing: Privacy & Security
Homeowners love composite wood fencing not just for its value, but also because of the privacy and security it offers. Trex fencing is available in heights of up to 12 feet, so you can fence in your pool, your back yard, or your entire property and no one will be able to see in. Because Trex fencing is so strong, it reliably protects your children and pets, preventing them from wandering off.
With a Horizons horizontal fence, you can use traditional Trex posts or FDS’s unique galvanized steel posts (patent pending).

INGENUITY AND CONTEMPORARY APPEAL
Form following function is at the center of this smart design that is both simple and eye-catching, Trex w/ Horizons Fence System (horizontal composite fencing) is one more way that FDS Distributors is taking an innovative approach to backyard living. The unique design of the Horizons horizontal fence system utilizes the low–maintenance interlocking fence pickets and posts of the Trex Fencing line.
Combining the Trex composite pickets with the exclusive patent-pending FDS Horizontal Fence System gives you horizontal fencing that is both beautiful and functional. The Horizons horizontal fence features a galvanized steel frame, which has a contrasting black powder-coated textured finish that picture frames the interlocking Trex Fencing pickets.
Tip: Horizons is not recommended for use in proximity to salt water. For coastal applications, consider Trex Solitudes.

Notes:
* The Horizons Fence System is an FDS Fence Distributors exclusive product and carries a separate warranty. Visit the warranty page for information regarding Trex and Horizons components.
Standard Horizons frames and fasteners are made of powder-coated, galvanized steel. Standard Horizons should not be installed within five miles of a body of salt water or in close contact with the ground (adapt the bottom rail if necessary as described in the installation guide). Visit the warranty page for additional details. Stainless steel frame components are available as an alternative to standard Horizons frames and screws.
If the fence is being installed or has been installed in a hot, humid climate, the pickets may experience some deformation. In order to mitigate the possibility or to help correct the issue, a back bracing rail can be installed. For more information, contact our support team at 877-700-8739.
